If it isn't bad enough that I have to fight with myself not to buy the crap food and eat it, my loving spouse is now keeping chocolate doughnuts, fruit pies and CHIPS in my house. That's right CHIPS! Is that grounds for divorce? I can't have chips in my house at all. What a dork! Its bad enough that I choose to eat the crap food myself now I have my very own crap food pusher right in my own house. SABOTAGE!!! Anyway I gave in and had one of those mini chocolate doughnuts and it was absolutely terrible. Greasy and tastes horrible!

That's a loss of 13.4 pounds and my BMI has gone down 2.03 since starting this 31 days ago. That puts me at 26.6 pounds to my 3 month goal.

It's just not fair!!!!
OK so I watch everything that goes into my mouth. I try my best to get my workouts in and I weigh myself EVERY day. My stinking husband who orders pizza, begs me to go out for super huge greasy tacos and eats chocolate doughnuts, licorice, and fruit pies all the time and doesn't work out, his weight has not changed at all in the last week. That's right not even a tenth of a pound either way. I'm hanging in there, I have lost 13 lbs and my BMI has gone down 1.97 since I started this and I am very happy about it but really chocolate doughnuts and pizza. UGH it sucks.

HERE I AM
It's been awhile since I posted anything but I am still here. I am still following my new eating habits and today I got back on the Wii Fit. I stopped for a few days while I had a stomach flu. Even though I am still not feeling my best I figured I had better get back on that Wii Fit NOW!! So here I am after doing my minimal 30 minutes today. Tired, Sore, and Sweaty.

14 days down a Gazillion more to go
Today is the end of my second week on the "Wii Workout Plan 2009". Overall its going really well. Sticking to my new "diet" is no problem and I still enjoy the games on the wii. I'm still recovering after throwing my hula hoop out of whack and that same night coming down with a stomach bug. Nothing worse than a bathroom issue and a sore back when your only bathroom is upstairs (does that count as exercise). I really haven't been able to eat much yesterday and today. Today my new class started which means after work I need to have some sort of dinner ready and squeeze in Wii time before going. Today I didn't manage to do that. I came home from work and took a nap. I got up in time to get to my class but didn't have anytime to make a meal. I ended up eating my first fast food of the new year but stayed within my points (cheeseburger and medium fries no soda). It was awful. I will do better on Wednesday with the dinner, work and class thing. Oh well. Here are today's numbers.

Are you right hipped or left hipped?
Today was the first time that I ever felt like I was going to puke on the Wii Fit. 10 minute Hula Hooping. That's right, 5 minutes going to the right and 5 minutes going to the left. Holy mother of pearl that is tough. I am right hipped lol hula hopping to the left was much difficult than going to the right. I put in my 30 minutes of aerobics and hope to get in another 30 minutes after I run my errands. My schedule this week is going to change just a bit. My classes start on Monday. So I will potentially work until 3:45 and then have class from 7pm to 9:30pm. In between I will have to have dinner and change and squeeze in my wii fit. Hopefully everything will Wii FIT in. Numbers to come tomorrow as it will be my two week mark of doing the wii fit daily.

Please Sir, can I have some more????
OK today is day 11 of my wii workouts and day 6 of following a "diet". Yesterday, I got up for work and had my usual breakfast minus the banana (we were out) and packed my same old lunch. I got home from work around 12:30 and ran a few errands and did a few things around the house. At 4pm I was hungry, and I wanted junk food. I had 6 fish sticks and 12 tater tots. Counting food items have become a BIG part of my everyday. The points on the two was 10 points. Not bad for totally unhealthy crappy food, but I felt like I ate junk food. Later that evening, I was hungry again. I heated up some green beans with molly mcbutter thinking I just needed some kind of filling snack. NO I was hungry. Ended up eating a lean cuisine barbecue chicken pizza. A 7 point snack? UGH It was my own fault for eating an early dinner and choosing the junkie, non filling, small portioned choice. Today I went out to lunch with a friend. I had a baked potato with grilled chicken and broccoli with cheese and marinara sauce on the side and a side salad with light Italian dressing. I didn't finish the whole potato and the stuck on cheese but I did pick out the chicken and broccoli. I'm still pretty full from lunch and its now almost 5pm. I think I may be going out for dinner as well but not quite sure yet.
As for today's numbers (even after eating a double dinner last night) it really doesn't look all that bad.

One Little, Two Little, Three Little Miniwheats
So the glamor of a serving is quickly wearing thin. I HATE counting my miniwheats out in the morning, and when I get 24 in the bowl I am sure I must have counted wrong because that doesn't look like 24. So I count them again as I eat them. At the end of the bowl, there were 24 and all I am left with is cereal milk. I am sure that everyone probably knows by now that I don't like milk. No prize, I don't find that I am short 5 and can have more, just yucky milk. Oh well. Anyway, I went out for dinner tonight. I really did not feel like cooking. I dusted off my weight watcher dining out companion and started looking up my options. I thought I wanted the burrito bowl that I worked out the other night but I changed my mind. I ended up going to the Hamburger Habit for a BBQ Chicken Salad. 8 weight watcher points and it is very very good. I feel that I did very well with my points today as I still have 4 left.

Not falling off the wii wagon
OK so I did not post yesterday. Slipping already five days into the new year? Nope not me. I did my wii work out yesterday but did not get on the laptop as I had a terrible migraine. Overall my first week on the wii workout plan seemed to go well. I have changed a few minor things but nothing drastic. The 30 minute minimum daily on the wii is all aerobics with additional balance time if I can squeeze it in. I have stopped drinking all soda and only eat whats in my house, no fast food. I now take my lunch to work with me and almost enjoy it. I do miss my grilled cheese though. I would like to try to add more fresh foods into my lunch bag and dinners. I'm sure as time goes on this will happen. I tried the bocca burgers last night. Not too bad, kind of a strange texture. I did not care for the seasoning I used with it. It was like eating a weird burger with gravel. I will try them again with a different or no seasoning but I am going to wait for a while eating little to no red meat so a burger will be a treat.

My goal for this week is to start getting up a bit earlier and breaking up my workout into two parts. Half to be done before work and half after. I would like to add 10 minutes on the treadmill to my wii workout. I know 10 minutes does not sound like a whole lot but when you have become one with the lazy boy 10 minutes might as well be 10 hours. I would also like to limit the sodium in my foods. I really like the Campbell's soup at hand tomato soup but it has a ton of sodium in that little can. I guess I will have to look into a recipe for tomato soup that will fit in with my weight watcher points and have it with dinner instead of lunch. I am a complete slob eating soup out of a bowl and will not do it at work. If I'm going to wear it, Ill wear it in the privacy of my own home. Anyway I'm hoping week two is as good if not better than week one!!!

Day 6
Today was quite a bit calmer than yesterday. No Car-B-Que, no crazy grocery store trips just me, my healthy food, and my wii fit. I got in 45 minutes of aerobics on the fit today and 15 minutes of the balance games. I could have probably done some more this evening but I choose not too. Let's hope that decision doesn't come back to bite me in my big behind. I stuck to my weight watcher meal plan today, although it was hard not being able to eat anything I want too. I made it through the day with no soda and even finished the milk in the cereal bowl and LIVED.... I went over on my points by 3 but that's OK, it just comes out of my 35 extra flex points per week. Gotta say it was nice to have the whole day planned out in advance with all the ingredients in the house and all I had to do was prepare it and plate it up. So here are today's numbers.

Day 5
Hello everyone
Today has been one of those days when you start out with all the RIGHT intentions and somehow you go left. I slept in today, I was up late watching movies and on the Wii Fit trying to work off that monster fat burrito that I had yesterday. My game plan for today was to get up, finish working on my meal plan, clean up and head to the grocery store. I was going to then come home, put all my new healthy food options away and then Wii Fit for my 30 minutes of aerobics. Then the plans changed. I procrastinated a bit and it was about 1pm when I was going to head to the grocery. Jumped in the car and started her up, but wait something didn't sound quite right. I made the decision to turn the car off and forget about it but wait.... It wouldn't turn off. That's right, I tried to stall it, take the key out ( which at first it wouldn't let me but then it did and the car kept on going), and finally in confusion called my husband whose answer was to call triple A. Alrighty then. There was an Oder about the car, not of overheating but some other not so pretty scent which I just couldn't place my finger on. I called my next door neighbor to see if they could help but they were stumped too. A few more neighbors later and the car was STILL running. I gave up and dialed triple A. As I was speaking to them the sound of the car changed yet again. Now the smell the was getting really bad and that's when the thick black smoke started billowing out from my engine. At this point Iwas pretty sure I was NOT going to the grocery. To make a long story even longer I jumped in the car and grabbed my keys so I could run into the house for a fire extinguisher (mental note to get one for both the car and the garage) and just like magic the car turned off. So I had to have the car towed to the dealership and then bum a ride to my father-in-laws house to borrow his extra car for a few days.
Now that its close to 4pm I was finally able to head off the grocery. Shopping hungry is bad enough but shopping upset and hungry is the pits. This is when I came to realize that I had not eaten anything all day. I had a list and plan and wasn't going to stray. I approached the check out line with my groceries and list and waited for the total. It is so much more expensive to eat healthy. It should be the other way around and maybe we wouldn't have so many obese people living in this country. My little half full grocery basket with food for ONE PERSON totaled 155.00 and that's using a store bonus card. I realize that I really had nothing in the house to start with and bought food for three meals and two healthy snacks a day but come on 155.00? I hung my head and brought my purchases home and put them away.
For my big one and only meal today I had a WW pizza and a banana. I could have cooked something so much more appetizing but in reality I was tired and stressed. I just finished off my Wii aerobics 45 minutes of it and am going to have a healthy snack while I watch some television.

Day Four part 2
OK so I didn't go to the grocery store today as planned. Spent my morning at my father-in-law's Dr's appointment. While waiting for him I had a Sausage Biscuit meal from McDonald's (Shudder) with a HI-C orange drink. After his appointment, we went out to lunch where I had a grilled cheese and fries (shudder and cringe) and a very small child size sprite. I came home and started my Wii Fit exercise and followed it with a nap. OK everyone in unison say it LAZY. As for dinner tonight I thought I would go to Chipotle and get a Fajita burrito. I really thought that the Fajita burrito with no rice and barbacoa, mild tomato salsa, corn, and light cheese was a smart choice.
WRONG
After scarfing down my burrito and the last soda in my house (Dr Pepper) I looked up the weight watcher points equivalent and about fell out of my chair. The burrito as I ate it had 790 calories, 34 fat grams, and 6 grams of fiber for a whopping 17.43 weight watcher points. That's more than half of the points allotted for a day.
I truly enjoy Chipotle and really would be missing something if I had to give it up, so I started playing with what was in the burrito to see if I could have and will in the future make a better choice in ordering.
I thought the tortilla it was wrapped in was probably the culprit of the sky high points so I subtracted it from the nutritional values. This put the totals at 500 Calories, 25 Fat grams and 4 Fiber for a grand total of 11.28 weight watcher points. Better but still not great.
I then removed the cheese. I know its shredded happiness. I didn't want to do it but I felt I could do better with the overall points and nutrition of the burrito. So for the Burrito Bowl ( UGH) with Fajita Veggies, Barbacoa meat, mild tomato salsa, and corn here are the stats:
Cal 390 Fat 16 grams, and Fiber 4 for a points total of 8.33
Still the fat is a bit up there but the points are definitely doable. I'm not sure if I can still call it a burrito if its in a bowl and has no CHEESE (I want to throw myself down and kick and scream) but I think this is far better than giving it up completely.
I think I made some horrible food choices today BUT I feel that I have learned a lot about looking at my choices and trying to adjust what I really want so I can have it. Tomorrows weight is not going to be pretty but I think I have made one small step back in weight loss BUT one giant step in the knowledge of what I need to do in order to get where I want to be.

Day 4 Uh oh
Hello Everyone in Blog land
Today is day four of my Wii Fit Mii project, day two of the new year and today the Wii Fit tells me that I gained 1.3 pounds. Could it have been the Wendy's for dinner last night? Lack of water on my part? Grilled Cheese and fries for lunch? Who knows. I do know however that when I weighed in and the Wii gave me the news of my added girth it questioned me why I thought I gained weight. It also gave me additional diet advice about lean meats. Way to go Nintendo, talk about having to account for oneself. I need that. I need someone to ask me "Why do you think that you had this minor backslide today?" and even more importantly "What do you plan to do about it?"
Overall still having fun with this new "game". Bought a pad for the step thing today because I have had two close calls slipping off of it during the step and boxing games. Toys R Us sold the pad for the step for 31.99 and they had the carrying case for 34.99. They also had a 3 in 1 fitness bundle that had the pad thingy as well as a nicer case and a yoga mat in a lovely shade of Wii Green for 39.99. The pad thingy seems to help a ton with the slipping problem however I think if not careful one could still bite the dust on it.
I'm a bit sore today, I'm thinking its from the boxing last night. I finished out the night last night with some additional boxing and I also did the free step program while watching another channel. I like that the wii fit counts your steps and time while coaching you along and you can change the channel and watch TV instead of watching the wii mii's in the step concert audience. I welcome the soreness something must be working.

And I think Ill start throwing my Wii Fit credits in here as well. Its just a running tote board of how much time you have used the Wii Fit. Actual work out time that is, it does not add up the time in between games.
Wii Fit Credits: So far 2 hours and 46 minutes including 21 minutes that I have used it so far today but I can tell you that the Wii has not seen the last of me for today!!!!
I have one can of soda left in the fridge and pretty much no food. I am working on some kind of a meal plan for next week and soda will not be part of it. I want to increase my water intake and stop eating fast food. I'm hoping that my George Foreman Grill and some chicken may be the answer to my food needs. I'm also going to grill some zucchini and other veggies on the GF Grill. I am thinking that I need to come up with some better breakfast ideas. I really don't care for eggs, although I will eat them and I detest oatmeal and cream of wheat. I am incredibly picky and will just have to learn to eat around my stubbornness.

Today is day four of my Wii Fit Mii project, day two of the new year and today the Wii Fit tells me that I gained 1.3 pounds. Could it have been the Wendy's for dinner last night? Lack of water on my part? Grilled Cheese and fries for lunch? Who knows. I do know however that when I weighed in and the Wii gave me the news of my added girth it questioned me why I thought I gained weight. It also gave me additional diet advice about lean meats. Way to go Nintendo, talk about having to account for oneself. I need that. I need someone to ask me "Why do you think that you had this minor backslide today?" and even more importantly "What do you plan to do about it?"
Overall still having fun with this new "game". Bought a pad for the step thing today because I have had two close calls slipping off of it during the step and boxing games. Toys R Us sold the pad for the step for 31.99 and they had the carrying case for 34.99. They also had a 3 in 1 fitness bundle that had the pad thingy as well as a nicer case and a yoga mat in a lovely shade of Wii Green for 39.99. The pad thingy seems to help a ton with the slipping problem however I think if not careful one could still bite the dust on it.
I'm a bit sore today, I'm thinking its from the boxing last night. I finished out the night last night with some additional boxing and I also did the free step program while watching another channel. I like that the wii fit counts your steps and time while coaching you along and you can change the channel and watch TV instead of watching the wii mii's in the step concert audience. I welcome the soreness something must be working.

Useless Wii Fit Age: 33 (Really where does this come from? Yesterday it was 43, the day before 45 and my first day was 55. Did my wii mii find the wii fountain of youth?)

Day one or is it three?
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Today is day one of 2009!! Usually on January first I would start out my morning/afternoon depending on how late I sleep in by sacking out on the couch in my jammies to watch the Rose Bowl Parade. Today I did not. I woke up to a few phone calls and flipped it on while I was still in bed on the phone then I moved to the living room after doing a few ADLs and sat down for a sec to field another phone call. I then turned off the parade and turned on Wii Fit to get my first 30 minutes in. Did I mention that I rang in the new year with a last meal ( WENDYS burger, fries and a blended frosty )and another 40 minutes of Wii Fit? That's right it was me and the Wii Fit.
Today I started with some basic step aerobics and then advanced step. Then just like magic **POOF** a new activity unlocked BOXING!!! I have been waiting for that one to open up! I like it. Its heck on the arms but maybe that will help get rid of Buh Bye arm. You know when you wave Buh Bye to someone and your arm continues waving after you have stopped. Very Attractive. Anyway after a couple rounds of boxing again **POOF** advanced 6 minute boxing unlocked. I thought surely after doing the first couple rounds the 6 minute wouldn't be too bad LMAO!!! New moves, different combos, I about fell on my very well padded bum! Followed by some more advanced step and also tried the new bubble game. So far I don't care for the bubble thing. OOOOHHHH also the snowboarding activity unlocked last night that and the slalom are very difficult to me. I will continue to focus on the aerobic and balance activities for now adding in the strength training and yoga as my balance and endurance improves.
Ok so here are my Day 3 stats:
Weight 278.2 lbs
BMI 42.17
and the worthless Wii Age 43
That's a loss of 3.1 pounds since starting and my BMI is down .46
I realize that it has only been 3 days and that 3 pounds is not a whole heck of a lot but to me that mole hill seems like a mountain. GOOOOOO MII 8-)
